ISC / PR Mix Simulator

Year-end calibration of the Interest on Share Capital and Patronage Refund allocation · CDA Rule 4, Sec. 2

Year-end figures

The example (Net Surplus 583,000; TASM 403,250; loan interest 845,000) is only a check of the arithmetic. Under the Platero booklet's older 10% / 10% / 10% funds it gives an ISC rate of 0.506013639 and a PR rate of 0.24147929. Replace the figures with BUPCC's actual year-end figures. TASM uses the 7th-day cut-off.

Funds set aside before ISC and PR (RA 9520, Art. 86)

Fund%AmountRule

The rule values (10% and 50% reserve, the five-year window, 10% education, 3% community, 7% other) are held in one RULES block at the top of this page's script and are not tied to the formulas, so a change in law or By-Laws is a one-place edit. In BDE they will be read from a settings table in the back end, not coded into the screens. Any amount left after ISC and PR is credited to the Reserve Fund (Art. 86(5)).

Floor: PR must be at least 30% of the net surplus after the funds set aside (the "pool"), so ISC cannot exceed 70%. Ratio cap: the PR rate may not exceed twice the ISC rate, which sets a minimum ISC share of TASM ÷ (TASM + 2 × loan interest). The 2× limit runs in one direction only.

Rates use the CDA formulas: ISC rate = X₁ × pool ÷ TASM; PR rate = X₂ × pool ÷ total loan interest. Green rows satisfy both rules. The highlighted row is the mix selected above.
